Biography
Drawing or painting anything that inspires me has been a passion of mine for over twenty years. While living in America I worked mainly in watercolors, capturing still lives, fresh flowers and landscapes around the world.
In 2003 I moved to Israel where I began my exploration of pastel on paper and oils on canvas.
Regardless of the medium, painting Israel's landscape on-site is a privilege because of my personal attachment to the land. To look at something that is beautiful and then have the luxury of exploring it with a painter's eye is a gift I cherish. If someone else looks at my work and feels their own connection or inspiration towards the subject, or simply derives pleasure from my work, then my work has even more purpose.
I am originally from Toronto, Canada and later lived in Silver Spring, MD, where I exhibited in solo and group shows prior to moving to Israel where I have continued to exhibit. | |
